On September 20, Redsun Group of China started construction of the largest heterocyclic intermediates production base of pharmaceuticals, herbicides and animal remedies in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. It altogether invests RMB820 million and first phase will be put on stream by the end of next May with investment of RMB38l million. The program includes an 8 000 t/a pyridine project and a 5 000 t/a paraquat project. The whole program is expected to complete within 3 years. As a result, Redsun Group will become the largest heterocyclic intermediates producer in Asia Pacific region and be likely to rank top of pesticide producers in Asia.
