The McHenry County Historical Society is going to take a sentimental journey and hopes that you will join them.
The society is closing its award- winning exhibit, "Marching Off - Left Behind: the World War II Experience" by hosting a Victory Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Woodstock VFW Post 5040.
The Victory Dance mirrors the USO Dance that kicked off the beginning of the exhibit in 2000. Four hundred tickets are available for the Victory Dance, but are selling fast and most likely will not be available at the door, said Nancy Fike, chairwoman of the McHenry County Historical Society.
