yards  and  two touchdowns,  as Green  Bay crushed  Detroit, 40-14, at Lambeau 
Field.  The  Packers have won  seven in a row  overall, five straight over the 
Lions and are 5-0 at home this season. 
 
The  Packers (8-1)  are off to their best start since 1996, when they also won 
eight  of their first nine games. The Packers finished that season with a 13-3 
record and went on to defeat New England, 35-21, in Super Bowl XXXI.
