ADMITTEDLY, I almost spilled an entire glass of excellent malt whisky when Nasser Hussain won the toss and chose to field. Nonetheless, I believe the calumny widely heaped on England ' s captain was desperately unfair.
What did his harshest critics think was going on? That he'd been got at by unscrupulous bookmakers? That he'd turned quisling overnight? That he'd completely lost his marbles?
