Some six years ago the Rev. Father Fouquet foretold the findings of diamonds in Northern Alberta, and it now looks as if his words were coming true. On Monday last the writer had the pleasure of looking at, what in his opinion, are two rough diamonds; that is if what can be gathered from the different works on mineralogy can guide the non-expert. However to make sure, the finder, Mr. Geo. Purches, has forwarded one to the east for analysis. There is no mistake about the strong resemblance to the diamond in the rough.
