Thanks to a generous Antioch resident, the town's oldest standing structure is still doing just that.
And thanks to decisions made by the Lakes Region Historical Society, this historic structure now reflects how it originally looked when it was built in 1862.
The old St. Ignatius Episcopal Church at 977 Main St. was purchased by the historical society using some of the $1 million bequeathed to the group by local restaurant owner Dolly Spiering. She passed away in October of 1999.
