An enforced merger of a Birmingham junior and infant school would slash nearly pounds 100,000 from its budget, lower academic standards and trigger a staff crisis, governors and parents claimed yesterday.
Kings Heath Infant and Junior is one of three pairs of schools having its opposition to amalgamation reviewed by an independent body tomorrow.
