TAIPEI, Nov 12 Asia Pulse - The Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications said Monday that the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) will decide whether to further relax restrictions for mainland tourists to come to Taiwan.

Tourism officials were responding to media reports that Taiwan will open fully to mainland tourists by the end of the year if Taiwan can get mainland China to agree to list Taiwan as a tourist destination.

The officials said the MAC, the nation's top mainland China policy planner, will formulate a policy on the full opening to mainland tourists and they will act to its policy.
