A greater need for supply chain visibility has led to a dramatic growth in the supply chain process management (SCPM) software market, defined by the ARC Advisory Group, Dedham, Mass., as a combination of supply chain event management (SCEM) and supply chain performance management software.

On top of an 83% growth between 2000 and 2001, ARC predicts that the SCPM market will increase almost tenfold--from $170 million in 2001 to more than $1.4 billion in 2006--for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 53% through 2006.
