MEDFORD - With the field cut in half, North Medford's offense was able to get the Black Tornado past Churchill.

North Medford took advantage of good field position all night to defeat the Lancers 51-38 late Friday night at Spiegelberg Stadium.

Due to long kickoff returns and Churchill miscues, the Black Tornado started six scoring drives in Churchill territory, and its first seven scoring drives started on average at the Lancers' 37-yard line. With such short distances to travel, the Black Tornado was able to defeat the Lancers even though Churchill had more yards.
