Author Cora Corbett will speak and read from her new novel, ``Half Nation Under God - One Woman's Warning,'' at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mother Kali's Books, 720 E. 13th Ave.
Set in the near future, "Half Nation Under God" takes the religious right's agenda for America to the next step, showing a nation in which women's rights and minority rights have been sacrificed in the name of morality and for the illusion of security.
