The Pyramid Cos. has asked for more Empire Zone acreage surrounding the Destiny USA project, including land that covers public streets, Interstate 81 and some property the mall developer doesn't own, according to Onondaga County officials.
Pyramid has asked for roughly 34 acres scattered around the future Destiny site. The addition would include land on the northeast side of the barge canal terminal, weave across Bear and Solar streets and go down to West Kirkpatrick Street, Pyramid executive David Aitken said Monday.
