HARRISBURG, Pa. -- State Chief Information Officer Charles Gerhards today encouraged Pennsylvania's local and municipal government officials to attend this year's Intergovernmental Technology Conference (ITC) in Hershey, Dauphin County, which will emphasize the innovative application of geographic information systems (GIS) in the public sector.

ITC 2002 is scheduled for Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. This is the seventh annual ITC, which is hosted each year by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
