San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants have named Felipe Alou the club's new manager. Alou becomes the club's 15th manager since moving West in 1958.

Alou, 67, signed a three-year contract with the Giants. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We're obviously thrilled we're able to welcome Felipe back," said Brian Sabean, senior vice president and general manager of the Giants. "Everybody in baseball realizes what he's done in the game. It's thrilling because he's a Giant at heart."
