ST. PAUL and BLOOMINGTON, MINN. -- Antibiotic resistance and subsequent public health issues were among the topics at hand at two recent University of Minnesota veterinary conferences.
At both the Allen D. Leman Swine Conference in St. Paul and the North Central Avian Disease Conference in Bloomington, human health and industry experts from around the world talked about the value and perceived risks associated with antibiotic use in food-producing animals.
