LARCHWOOD, IOWA -- Novartis Animal Vaccines Inc., known for its inactivated products, is entering the modified live vaccine market with the introduction of Quick Shield Intranasal IBR-[PI.sub.3].
Quick Shield requires one intranasal 2 ml dose annually and is approved for use in non-pregnant cattle to help prevent disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and parainfluenza Type '3 ([PI.sub.3]) viruses. Intranasal is the preferred route of administration when practicing Beef Quality Assurance.
