PHILADELPHIA _ Penn State has not beaten Michigan since Courtney Brown and Brandon Short were freshmen. They are now in their third NFL seasons. Penn State will not beat Michigan until after sophomore quarterback Zack Mills is gone.
Four times, the Wolverines have overwhelmed the Lions. Twice, they have made their last drives into winning scores. Brown and Short were playing their final home games in 1999 when Michigan came from two scores behind in the fourth quarter to win behind Tom Brady. Mills and his teammates have a lot of football left after losing a lead four times Saturday at Michigan Stadium.
