Study finds 40 % of computer software used in CR illegal

Prague. November 15. INTERFAX EUROPE - A new study says 43 % of the computer software in use in the Czech Republic is illegal, and that the damage to software firms totaled USD 34.4 mln in 2001.

That's actually an improvement, compared to 2000, when software firms lost USD 44.6 mln due to pirated software, according to the Business Software Alliance that did the study.
