Mayor Dick Murphy made three new appointments to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
On Oct. 4, the mayor selected San Diego City Council member Byron Wear to fill a seat on the board's executive committee. San Diego attorney Paul Peterson will take up a post on the board, and San Diego Council member Ralph Inzunza will serve as the City Council representative to the nine-member regional airport authority.
"Council member Byron Wear has a vast array of direct experience that qualifies him for a position on the airport authority's executive committee," Murphy said. "He is ideally prepared to help solve our regional airport problem."
