The latest chapter of neighborhood preservation vs. the free market is currently playing out in Norfolk's Ghent community.
Ghent residents are riled that Walgreens, the pharmacy giant, wants to open a store at West 21st Street and Colley Avenue.
The neighborhood rightly prides itself as an island of old-fashioned charm and community spirit.
