YAKIMA -- Seattle Prep senior Lauren Cane always gets asked about long service runs. Last night marked the first time she had been asked about them while standing next to her team's second consecutive 3A championship trophy.
Prep battled to a two-game sweep of Columbia River at the Sun Dome, using a five-point rally, spearheaded by Cane's serves in the second set, to break the Chieftains' backs.
"I think I just get lucky (to be serving) when we get going," Cane said. "We work on our serves to catch them off guard and to be able to play our game, which is pass-set-hit."
