In 1938 my father, Sidney K. Lafoon, was living in China where he worked for the United States Embassy. Many years later I found this story in the diary he kept during that time. On October 8,1938, he wrote about the Chinese Moon Festival and a story told to children during it. "I noticed on my way to the office this morning that the village people were making preparations for the celebration ... The full moon tonight reminds me of the Chinese story regarding the rabbit in the moon."

I wonder if you will see a rabbit now when you look at the full moon?
