The world's largest distributor of pool supplies got just bigger. SCP Pool Corp. announced Aug. 19 that it has acquired Fort Wayne Pools, Inc., for slightly more than $40 million. Fort Wayne Pools is a distributor and manufacturer of pool equipment, parts and supplies based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Fort Wayne distribution network currently encompasses 22 service centers in 16 states, with estimated sales of $90 million. It is also a leading manufacturer of steel and polymer panels, steps and liners for pools, which are sold through both the Fort Wayne distribution network as well as others.
