MYRA Hindley believed she was going to heaven, a Roman Catholic priest who witnessed the child killer's death said yesterday.

Father Michael Teader, who also took Hindley's last confession and absolved her of her sins, said the Moors Murderer 'believed in a compassionate and loving God who loves unconditionally, and that's why she felt she was going to heaven'.

Hindley's belief will sicken the families of the five children she murdered with her lover Ian Brady. Last week the families said they hoped she would rot in hell.
