A teen accused of trying to rob a dry cleaners at gunpoint not only failed in his mission, but was caught the next day when his victim recognized him on the street.

Police said 18-year-old Tyler Roberts, of 212 S. York Road in Bensenville, entered J&J One Hour Dry Cleaners on Wednesday afternoon, threatened the clerk with a revolver and demanded all the money from the safe.

"I was scared when I couldn't get the safe open because he had (a) gun," said the clerk. "He got tired of waiting, I guess, and ran out without getting anything."

The clerk promptly called police, but the suspect fled ...
