If films received ratings based on the number of bullets fired, Half Past Dead would earn an easy NC-17. But gunplay has never bothered the ratings board as much as nudity, sex and profanity, so the latest big-screen helping of mayhem from Steven Seagal hits theaters with a timid PG-13.
I can't be sure about this, but I'd bet that bullets outnumbered words in this sloppily scripted and mostly preposterous action yarn.
Let's be real, though - fans of this sort of junk may not care that it doesn't make a lick of sense. Nor will they raise an eyebrow when they discover that Seagal is playing ...
