HOUSTON -- A survey conducted by Money Management International (MMI) determined 36 percent of respondents earning 100 - 150K had regifted a gift to cut holiday costs; and the higher the income bracket, the higher the likelihood of regifting. Other interesting facts include:
-- Layaway is an underutilized holiday shopping tool as only 25 percent
of MMI's holiday survey respondents plan to use it.
-- Mail carriers will receive rather than just deliver gifts this holiday
season. Nine percent more of the respondents plan to purchase a gift
for their mail carrier rather than a gift for their garbage man.
