UPPER MERION ORDERED TO ALLOW OFF-TRACK BETTING IN KING OF PRUSSIA

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Yesterday, Montgomery County Judge Richard Lowe ordered Upper Merion's Zoning Hearing Commission to grant a special exception to Valley Forge Plaza to operate an off-track betting (OTB) parlor at the King of Prussia site.

Pennsylvania law allows for 23 OTB sites, six each to be operated by Philadelphia Park, Penn National and the Meadows and five by Poconos Down.

Philadelphia Park filed application for an OTB parlor at Valley Forge Plaza in December of 1989, choosing it as the site of their first OTB facility.
