THE organisers of a successful food fair have expressed disappointment at the response from North Wales producers.
Just over a third of the companies exhibiting at the two-day Deudraeth Food Fair at Portmeirion were based in the region, while 11 of the 18 exhibitors travelled from Mid and South Wales.
Coun Dewi Lewis, chairman of Deudraeth Cyf, organisers of the two-day event, said, ``Personally I would have liked to see more local producers here, and my message to those that are not, is - staying away is a missed opportunity to market your produce.
