Article: Beauties flee from carnage.(News)

THE Miss World pageant was last night switched from Nigeria to Britain after more than 100 people died in riots sparked by the contest.

Hours before the move, Miss Scotland Paula Murphy said she wanted to come home, adding: "People are being killed - this contest is not worth people dying."

The finale is still planned for December 7 but will now take place in London.
