Madison's small but close Somalian community is in shock over the loss of one of its members.

Jamal Mohamed, 21, died Wednesday while in police custody. An autopsy Thursday failed to reveal the cause of death.

Mohamed was taken into custody by Madison police following a disturbance at a near West Side tailor shop.

Madison police said Mohamed was throwing clothes and had grabbed a woman by the hair at Mai's Alterations & Gifts, 2805 University Ave., then left the store and attacked another woman trying to get into a car.
