Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - At least two former Fresno State basketball players accepted money and additional benefits from sports agencies based in Las Vegas, according to a newspaper report published Sunday.
The Fresno Bee is reporting former Bulldog Tito Maddox revealed in an October interview that he admitted taking an estimated $30,000 and other benefits from relatives of a Las Vegas sports agent during the 2000-01 season, the second of back-to-back campaigns in which Fresno State made the NCAA Tournament under then-head coach Jerry Tarkanian.
