Love of language catapulted a busload of Central New Yorkers into the clamor and flurry of New York City last week.
They climbed aboard a motor coach in darkness at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, watched the sun spill orange light over hazy fields around 7, then nudged each other when the Manhattan skyline appeared like a beacon around 11:15.
All those miles, just so they could sit still and listen to writers read.
