Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) demand in the US is projected to rise over 3 percent yearly to 15.8 billion pounds in 2006, with value increasing over 5 percent annually to $6.8 billion. Factors driving growth include a unique combination of cost, strength, versatility and processability advantages. Other stimulants include improved processing technologies and the development of enhanced resin grades.
