LOS ANGELES -- Is that driver who just gave you the finger drunk? How about the one who tailgated your vehicle before passing you in the right-turn-only lane? The odds are greater than you may think.
According to Doug Thorburn, Northridge, Calif.-based author of "Get Out of the Way! How to Identify and Avoid a Driver Under the Influence," such rude and reckless road behavior is the hallmark of the drunk driver. He cautions that motorists have to be especially alert for DUI-related behavior during the holidays when more people are on the road and drinking is at its height.
