NEW YORK-Attendees of the textiles market here in October were seeing red. At least if they were looking at table linens, that is.
"I'm hearing a lot about red," said Lorraine Maberry Ragland, vice president of sales and merchandising for Trendex Home Designs.
"Red is huge," agreed Kat Madcharo-Ridel, manager of product development for Park B. Smith, which showed a wall of placemats in the color. "The palette being shown is a darker red with linen thrown into the mix." Under the heading Vintage Red, the wall featured such patterns as You Say Tomato and vintage Americana looks.
