PLAYING gladiators in the setting of Caerleon's Roman ampitheatre can seriously damage your health, a Roman historian has warned.
Howard Pell is fearful for the health of thousands of children who visit the popular Roman remains at Caerleon after a ``no dogs allowed'' sign was removed.
The risk of schoolchildren suffering blindness from a parasitic infection carried in dog mess is of far more concern to Mr Pell than any bump on the head suffered during a mock gladiatorial battle.
