WINTER PARK -- As people entered the Mary Jane ski lodge to pay their last respects, they were greeted by a large color picture of the Jack Mason they all knew, knee-deep in powder on a steep sunny slope so high on the mountain that there was nothing behind him but blue sky.
And on Mason's face, the familiar trademark grin that displayed his mood and his personality.
``He always had a smile,'' said his brother, Tim.
Mason, the mountain manager at Winter Park, died in a fall off a chairlift Saturday after an epileptic seizure. He was 53.
