Adam Sandler fans who couldn't abide - or understand - his courageous move starring in "Punch Drunk Love" will be happy to see he's back in his old form, albeit animated, for "Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights."
Sandler and cohorts have concocted a modern version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" in which Scrooge is Sandler's Davey Stone. Actually, he's worse than Ebenezer since he steals. And, like Scrooge, he's lost his true love.
He's been given his choice - become a referee-in-training to aging Whitey, a basketball coach, who yearns to win the town's top honor for selfless devotion, ...
