Liverpool, England (Sports Network) - At an often explosive encounter between Manchester United and Liverpool at Anfield, the visitors got two goals from Diego Forlan to defeat Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday.
A scoreless first half was turned on its head in the second 45 minutes. A horrible mistake by Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek gave Forlan his first goal, with the United striker rightfully taking the second with a superb shot. Sami Hyypia got Liverpool back into the match with a late goal, but United held Liverpool off to claim the victory.
