BUENOS AIRES -- Compania Latinoamericana de Infraestructura & Servicios S.A. (the "Company" or "CLISA") announced today that it missed its December 1, 2002, interest payment due on its 11-5/8% Guaranteed Senior Notes due 2004 (144A - CUSIP #20445PAA3 and Reg S - ISIN #USP3063XAA65).
CLISA will exercise its 30-day grace period to decide on its next course of action. The Company has also announced plans to host informal meetings for noteholders on December 10, 2002, in New York City and December 17, 2002, in Buenos Aires.
