MAJOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN FIAT AND CGE
NEW YORK, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fiat Group, Italy's largest private-sector automotive and industrial concern (NYSE: FIA) and CGE, one of the largest French manufacturing groups in the private sector, announced today a strategic alliance on the international level.
This agreement will involve exchanges of shareholder participations, rationalization of manufacturing activities through a series of mergers and creation of a jointly-held European holding company to develop programs for action in sectors of mutual interest.
