Dec. 2--Despite budget crunches and limited travel expenses, the High Point Chamber of Commerce has found a way to retain its ties to Triad congressional leaders.
Instead of making the annual trek to Washington, the chamber has invited the Triad's congressional representatives to a Dec. 10 networking event at Showplace.
The chamber also has invited members from 13 other Triad chapters to the inaugural "Washington Comes to the Triad" event.
The gathering is expected to draw more than 600 chamber officials and Triad business leaders. The event will ...
