Nov. 28--You, the American consumer, will buy.
You may not like what is going on in the world. You may be nervous about the sluggish economy. You may even be one of the thousands of people who lost their jobs this past year.
But this Christmas shopping season, you will buy. Or so say the experts.
Surveys conducted across the country, New England and the state all say the same thing -- even though consumer confidence may be down, retailers expect this shopping season to be a prosperous one.
