Dec. 3--VICTORVILLE, Calif.--Local nail salon owners are joining together to fight a lawsuit claiming they, along with hundreds of other shops in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, are violating state law by using the same bottle of nail polish on more than one customer.
"To me, it's just a scam," said Lawni Leatham, whose mother owns Chip-N-Nail in Victorville. "It's a frivolous lawsuit."
Harpreet Brar, a Long Beach attorney, filed the lawsuit against about 1,000 nail salons in October for a group known as California Watchdog, which is run by ...
