I've always said that I don't need much when I'm on Anguilla. Just a place to sleep, a good breeze, some sunscreen and a swimsuit. Nothing fancy; life on this tiny Caribbean island is uncomplicated and inspires me to simplify. This feeling came to me recently--as it always does when I arrive on Anguilla, a place I've visited regularly since the early '60s--the moment my plane touched down,, and I exhaled at the sight of palm fronds waving in welcome and people looking unhurried.
