Dec. 4--A pipeline fire near the Rohm & Haas plant in Deer Park forced part of the plant to be shut down Tuesday afternoon but no injuries were reported.
The fire was discovered about 2:15 p.m. at a pipeline corridor on East Boulevard that is adjacent to the Rohm & Haas plant, said spokesman Curtis Carlson. The plant, which employs about 800, is located about a half-mile north of Texas 225.
"We suspect the fire resulted from a hydrogen pipeline leak, located near the Rohm and Haas facility," a statement released by the company said.
