HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Independent insurance agents in Pennsylvania got a whole lot stronger on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Members of two associations -- The Independent Insurance Agents of Pennsylvania (IIAP) and the Pennsylvania members of Professional Insurance Agents Association (PIA) of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware -- approved a consolidation to create one of the largest associations of independent property and casualty insurance agents in the nation, representing 1,418 agencies statewide.
