SHOULD NORMAN BATES or Dorothy Gale have been nominated for Oscars?
Anthony Perkins, who played lunatic killer Bates in ``Psycho,'' and Judy Garland, who starred as Dorothy in ``The Wizard of Oz,'' are among top performances overlooked by Academy Awards voters, according to a list compiled by Entertainment Weekly.
James Stewart in ``Vertigo'' leads a list of the top 100 performances that failed to earn Oscar nominations. Perkins as Bates was the No. 2 pick.
The rest of the top 10, in order, are Cary Grant in ``The Philadelphia Story,'' Ingrid Bergman in ``Casablanca,'' Samuel L. Jackson in ``Jungle Fever,'' Susan Sarandon ...
