Skip Hellmig drives a shiny black sports car with license plates that say "Preach It."
He delivers his sermon in khaki pants and a golf shirt, sharing his words on a large movie screen with Power Point software as the congregation members follow along from their cushioned red chairs. Electric guitars, a keyboard and drums fill the auditorium with rock music.
The short, heavyset man who plays the musical presentation each week, Neil Bendixen, is called "the round mound of sound."
Gone are the stained-glass windows, hymn books and pews. But the message, the Rev. Hellmig says, is the same.
